Sending Hugs Through the Mail

I think the thing my kids miss the most is seeing and hugging people they love!  Unfortunately I can’t change this.  We love sending letters and notes through the mail, so in April we decided to send hugs.  They were well received and even added to one recipients home office wall.  :-)

To start we tore off a large section of paper from our craft roll and each kid laid down so I could trace them from the chest up.

Then we started painting.  The kids had a lot of fun mixing colors and adding details.

The final step is to cut out the life size hug.  We carefully folded them up in an envelope with a little note and sent them on their way.
